M.K. Stalin is a statesman who has carried a dream in his heart since childhood — to transform his beloved state into a developed land, like a Western country, or at least like Singapore.
In 1996
When he was given a chance as Mayor of Chennai, he transformed the city into a new, beautiful one. He built bridges and roads, revolutionised garbage collection and solid waste management (making it the first of its kind in India), beautified the beaches, created public parks, remodelled schools, introduced computer education in schools as early as 1998, started LKG and UKG in government schools, and did much more.
Eight years later (in 2006)
When he became Deputy Chief Minister and Rural Development Minister, he ensured that every rural area across Tamil Nadu had libraries, primary healthcare centres, and community halls. He established rural women’s self-help groups, strengthened the 100 Days Work Scheme, and empowered villages like never before. He also brought the Metro to the capital city and further improved solid waste management, while continuing to clean up the city and its beaches.
Fifteen years later (in 2021)
When he became Chief Minister, he built new world-class hospitals and medical colleges in every district, set up huge libraries in major cities, constructed new bridges, roads, schools, housing boards, bus stations, and hostels. He expanded the Metro network, modernised the buses, reshaped the beaches, cleaned up lakes, and built and renovated beautiful parks and walkways. He also recovered major government lands that had been in private possession for decades.
He improved education and sports, brought in numerous new industries, generated employment, and enhanced the quality of life for the people. He introduced monthly aid for women, students, elders, and other vulnerable sections of society.
In spite of all challenges, he maintained Tamil Nadu’s growth above 10% (11.19% in 2024–25 and 10.83% in 2025–26) — the highest in the country, numbers no other state could even touch. He had been clear in his vision for the last 50 years. He worked tirelessly for it. He gained the support of the people and earned their confidence to achieve it.
He was almost there. With another five years, Tamil Nadu would have reached the $1 trillion economy mark. Every household would have seen monthly incomes touching an average of ₹1 lakh per capita, equivalent to Singapore levels. Currently, we stand at around ₹30,000–40,000.
But what happened suddenly now?
1.72 crore people of Tamil Nadu decided to stop this growth, this vision, and these developments!
They don’t want Tamil Nadu to prosper…
They were more worried about the Stalin family than about the state’s goals and betterment.
They were worried about Udhayanidhi supporting his father’s goals like a superstar politician… while being an average actor in cinema.
They were worried about the safety of women in the safest state of India.
They were worried about their development in the most developed state of India.
They were worried about corruption in the least corrupt state of India.
They decided to change the best government in India — one that had worked day and night, beyond its ability, with the available resources, and without any support from the Union Government.
Reason…?
They heard a lot of cooked-up stories.
There was a liar who manipulated them. He looked attractive to most women and children… an actor… who used his fame and face to cheat and manipulate the people. He had full confidence that he could do it with the support of a great global syndicate.
He spoke lies with full confidence and in a raised voice. He performed so well… he was selling himself like a street vendor. People who had known him for many years as an actor had faith in him. They looked at him as a brand ambassador or a model who had come live to sell himself.
With his great tricks, he connected with them emotionally through his speeches… and finally succeeded in transferring lies about the state and the current governance.
Even after 50 people lost their lives in a stampede during one of his live performances, people trusted him.
On the other side stood the true leader, M.K. Stalin — the trained leader who had held a vision for his people for over 50 years.
He, too, believed in his people.
He thought his actions would speak louder than the words of lies.
He believed his hard work and tireless performance would speak more than lies.
He trusted that his futuristic vision would shine brighter than blatant lies.
He is 74 years old, but in those five years, he didn’t take a single day’s leave. He worked 24×7×365×5.
As he mentioned, he worked beyond his ability.
Stalin had a broad vision for the state and the country, but the other man had narrow views filled with lies.
Meanwhile, the liar prepared his minions to deconstruct the giant empire built on pure hard work.
The lies multiplied like a huge shadow that fell over the sun and overshadowed its brightness.
Within that brief time of an eclipse, like a python, he tightened his grip.
The grip and the venom being spread were so intense that they spread across society.
As an immediate effect, many people have started suffering and dying, but the next layer of people are not even realising what is happening.
The darkness still lingers among the people, even after the shadow has passed.
The leader, M.K. Stalin, is just watching it all and must be thinking…
“I waited for 50 years for my turn with a vision. I worked sincerely. I gained my position through hard work to serve my people.
I wanted to make this land the greatest in the country. But my own people did not allow me.
The other side had not even worked for five months. His only capital was lies, lies, lies, and hate towards me and my family. Yet the people trusted him and rejected me.
What mistake did I make in this process? Whom should I blame?”
//
What we are thinking…!
If lies are more powerful than the truth — then why do we have in our State emblem the words “Vāymaiyē Vellum” (Truth Alone Triumphs)?
Meanwhile ..
The answer given by the universe is…
Lies will Triumph! Only Lies will…!

Lies will Triumph! Only Lies will…! – Kathir RS
For nearly 50 years, M.K. Stalin carried a vision of transforming Tamil Nadu into one of the most developed regions in the world. From Chennai’s transformation in the 1990s to the state's rapid growth in the 2020s, he spent decades building towards that goal. Yet, when Tamil Nadu stood on the threshold of unprecedented economic and social progress, 1.72 crore voters chose a different path. This is a story about vision, development, political persuasion, and a question that still lingers: if truth alone triumphs, why do lies seem to win?
